Do you use AI?
Yes. We use AI writing tools to help with the first draft and formatting. A real person then reads, checks and edits every page before it reaches you. We tell everyone this up front.
Will you make things up to make me look better?
No. We never invent jobs, dates, titles, degrees, licenses, skills or numbers. If something is unclear, we ask you. Everything on your resume should be something you can talk about in an interview.
When do I pay?
Only after you approve your draft. We email you the draft, you ask for any changes (two rounds are included), and once you're happy, we tell you how to pay. If you decide not to go ahead, you owe nothing.
How long does it take?
Resumes take 2 business days, and a cover letter on its own takes 1 business day, counted from when we have what we need. See prices and turnaround.
What do I need to send?
Your old resume, or just a list of jobs with rough dates and what you did, and the kind of job you want. Use the order form (pasted text) or email us, where you can attach files or photos.
Can you guarantee I'll get a job or interview?
No, and nobody honestly can. We can give you a clear, accurate resume that presents you well.
Will you apply to jobs or log into job sites for me?
No. We don't take passwords or log into any accounts. You submit applications yourself, including on USAJOBS.
What should I never send you?
Passwords, your Social Security number, bank or card details, date of birth, or medical information. We never need them, and our form will refuse them.
What do you keep, and can I have it deleted?
We keep what you send us so we can do your resume and reply to you. Form requests delete automatically after 60 days. Email orders@scantoolmatch.com with "Delete my information" and we'll delete it sooner. See the privacy note.
Is my resume readable by applicant tracking systems?
We use a simple one-column layout with standard headings, which applicant tracking software reads reliably. We don't promise any particular result from an employer's software.
I haven't written a resume in decades. Is that a problem?
Not at all. That's who we work with most. See your first resume in 20 years.
Do you give legal, medical or financial advice?
No. We write and format resumes and cover letters. For questions about benefits, discrimination or contracts, please talk to a qualified professional or the relevant agency.
What we won't do
- We will never ask for passwords, PINs, bank or card numbers, or your Social Security number. Please don't send them. Anyone who asks you for these is not us.
- We don't log into job websites or accounts for you.
- We don't give legal, medical, or financial advice, and we don't make those decisions for you.
- We can't promise you'll get a job or an interview. Nobody honestly can.
